After restructuring its business in China, Nokia saw shipment value grow 30% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2005. Furthermore, Nokia expects its shipment volume from its Dongguan plant to grow 20% annually in 2005. Currently, more than 20 mobile phone models are manufactured in the Dongguan factory, which are not only are sold in the Chinese domestic market, but are also exported to other countries in the Asia Pacific region and to countries in the Middle East and Africa.
